'Dead Rising 4' Update: New Screenshots And A Must-Watch In-Game Footage
C. de Lacy"Dead Rising 4" has some new screenshots and in-game video footage during the Gamescom 2016. Watch how Frank West returns and proves that he's still the king of non-serious-zombie-slaying-fest.
"Dead Rising" has always been known as a game that doesn't really take zombie apocalypse that seriously like "The Walking Dead" or other zombie-themed videogame and series. That's not necessarily a bad thing and it's actually a great change of pace. "Dead Rising 4" shows that zombies put in a Christmas theme setting is more than perfect:
The gameplay video shows the pictures we've seen a month ago that was revealed by publisher CAPCOM. Just like the 2nd and the 3rd game, "Dead Rising 4" will be featuring crazy customized weapons that players will be able to craft at some point in time.
These include Ice Armors made from what seems to be air-conditioning radiators and portable refrigerators, Sci-Fi looking armors that looks like a parody from EA Game's "Dead Space" series while wielding a traffic light and some funny-looking lightning-fast primal warrior, complete with a cute lion mask.
For those who want to see more of Frank West and his comical adventure wading through seas of brain-hungry zombies, more screenshots can also be found at Gematsu.
In other news, the original "Dead Rising" that was released for the Xbox 360 only is now also going to be released for PC. The game is already available for pre-purchase on Steam and good news for those who still haven't upgraded their PCs, "Dead Rising" isn't much of a resource hungry and it would even run on machines powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors with 2 GB of RAM.
The first "Dead Rising" was one of the pioneers of real zombie carnage in extremely large numbers and it is a must try, even with the slightly dated graphics.
"Dead Rising 4" is scheduled to be released in December 6 on Xbox One and Windows.
