The rumors about the upcoming iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5 suggested that both the devices may be almost similar barring few changes. In order to help you to choose the best tablet out of the two based on your specs and budget requirements, we have listed down the details of the device.

To start with, the iPad Air 3 is rumored to sport a 9.7-inch display along with a 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the iPad Mini 5 is expected to consist of a 7.9-inch retina IPS display, which is much less than the former device.

Furthermore, as far as the similar aspects of both the devices are concerned, it is to be noted that the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Mini tablets are expected to feature similar 7,000 series aluminum chassis. Also, the Apple tablets will feature same 32 GB internal storage.  

Moreover, rumors hinted that both the devices will run on the Cupertino-based company's latest iOS 10. The iPad Mini 5 and the iPad Air 3 tabs are also expected to sport 3D Touch or Force Touch feature with a pressure-sensitive touchscreen.

Also, reports claimed that the two Apple devices will be powered by the upgraded A9X processor and M9 motion co-processor along with the fingerprint scanners for added security measures.

To add on to the differences between the two gadgets, reports claimed that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will feature a Smart Connector, which will allow you to connect the tablet to different gadgets like the Apple Pen and Keyboard. On the other hand, the iPad Mini 5 will sport the new stylus called as the Apple Pencil.

Meanwhile, the release date rumors hinted that the iPad Air 3 and the iPad Mini 5 are expected to be launched at Apple's technical event in October 2016 along with the upcoming iPhone 7.
