iMac 2016 Rumors: October Release Date Still Possible? Device To Include Intel Kaby Lake Chipset Or Sky Lake Processor?
Dheeraj RRumors about the upcoming iMac 2016 hinted that the latest Apple desktop is expected to be released by the end of the year. Reports claimed that the company will follow the same release date trend of the iMac predecessors and will launch the device in October.
According to rumors, the new iMac is expected to be called the iMac Pro 2016 and is rumored to feature the latest Intel Kaby Lake chipset. If the Kaby Lake chipsets are included in the iMac 2016, then it will offer support for USB 3.1 along with Thunderbolt 3 port and DisplayPort 1.2. The addition of new ports are expected to provide a boost to the overall performance of the device.

Moreover, the new iMac is expected to sport the VR-compatibility functionality and will thus provide the users with the support to use Oculus Rift, reported Tech Radar. Besides, the latest desktop computer might include flash storage option also codenamed as the Hybrid Fusion drives. These drives are expected to consist of a storage capacity of more than 512 GB.
The iMac 2016 is expected to be priced at $1099. However, Apple has not confirmed anything on the release date or specs of the upcoming desktop computer.
