'GTA V' DLC Rumor: Biker Update Now Scheduled For September Release? Single Player DLC Not Happening?
Jazz RosinMore speculations have been circulating about "Grand Theft Auto V"'s new online DLC.
The much awaited Biker DLC was initially rumored to come out in August. Now that August has come and gone, speculations have begun pointing towards a September 20 release.
As reported by iDigitalTimes, the speculation was fueled by "GTA" Forum member Mach1bud, who randomly posted on the DLC speculations thread about his favorite driver, Lennie Pond. Pond finished in 20th place ina NASCAR race in 1984.
It looked completely random at first, until forumer Yan2295 posted yet another cryptic message on the thread. "You know people can't wait for the Biker DLC (even though they should) should just chill out, its not like it will release in 20 years."
Now topic creator BenDeR_ finally responded to the first two posts, giving away the "20" hints from the two forumers.
"As Yan2295 kind of confirmed it, the planned release date for the biker update is September 20th," the forumer wrote. "Lockdown was yesterday August 30th and the submission date is September 13th."
"So, expect an announcement anytime between now and Sept. 20," BenDeR_ continued, "because Rockstar CAN announce stuff before sending the updates to Sony and Microsoft, as they did in the past."
Biker DLC aside, Rockstar Games still has not released any single-player DLC for "Grand Theft Auto V" since it was released in Sept. 17, 2013.
In a report by GamesRadar early this year, it looks like Rockstar has no imminent plans of adding single player DLC's to the game, with the developers focusing solely on content for "GTA Online":.
In an interview with IGN last year, Rockstar North Director of Design Imran Sarwar said that the key members that launched "Grand Theft Auto V" has now shifted their support to "GTA Online."
"Right now our focus is on GTA Online which has exceeded our expectations," Sarwar confirmed at the time.
It looks like a single-player DLC for "Grand Theft Auto V" is not in the works, so fans should not hold their breath for one. With the biker DLC getting a lot of hype, let's find out if fans are really getting an update this month. Stay tuned for more updates.
