'Cyberpunk 2077': Vehicle Combat, Bikes, Flying Vehicles Confirmed? CD Projekt Red Hints Feature In Job Posting
Jazz RosinAward winning developer studio CD Projekt Red is keeping quiet about their next big project "Cyberpunk 2077," but they may have given away some hints thanks to its job listings page.
Spotted by All Games Delta and CG Mag Online, via Gamezone, the game studio has posted a job listing looking for people versed in "vehicle gameplay."
On the CD Project Red jobs page, the developer is looking for the following: Vehicle Artist, Vehicle Gameplay Designer and Vehicle Gameplay Programmer. These apparently would be the ones responsible for bringing vehicles to live in "Cyberpunk 2077."
It also looks like we will be getting some flying machines in the game, as the daily responsibility of the Vehicle Gameplay Programmer includes "creating the whole architecture of vehicle related code and the physics of driving / flying in those vehicles."
Vehicle artists are also expected to come up with various designs for the robots and other vehicles in the game.
CD Projekt Red also hinted at possible motorcycles in the game, as evidenced by this spiffy looking GIF.
Apart from these vehicle-related job postings, the developer is still on the hunt for more people to join their team, ranging from programmers to designers. With this in mind, fans should not be holding their breath for a reveal anytime soon.
According to our previous reports, the studio prefers not to give anything away until the game is ready, as confirmed by CD Projekt Red Community Lead Marcin Momot on Twitter.
"We don't comment on rumors," Momot said. "The only thing we want to share now is we'll release 'Cyberpunk 2077' when we're done creating it."
The developer has given themselves a 2017 - 2021 release date window as per their 2015 financial results, Dualshockers reported. This looks like a viable timeframe, as the studio is aiming for "Cyberpunk 2077" to be even bigger than its highly successful IP "The Witcher."
"'Witcher 3' set a certain bar and we definitely cannot go lower," CD Projekt Red's co-founder Marcis Iwinski told Eurogamer. "It's always about improving and making new, pretty stuff, storytelling games and mechanics and what not."
Stay tuned for more "Cyberpunk 2077" news here.
