Google Nexus 2016 Spec Rumors: Variants To Feature 13MP Camera Along With Android 7.1 Nougat?
Dheeraj RThe latest update on the Google Nexus 2016 suggested that the two variants of the smartphones newly codenamed as Pixel & Pixel XL will sport excellent specs like 13-megapixel rear camera, huge display, and an updated operating system.
The release date rumors hinted that the Google Nexus 2016 variants are expected to be launched on October 4 at the company's technical event. Should the company release the device on the aforementioned date, it is expected to be similar to the Google's current tablet series.
Below we have jotted down all the rumored specs and features of the Google Nexus 2016 device in order to provide you with an overview of the upcoming smartphone. To start with, the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL variant are expected to sport a 5-inch and 5.5-inch screen respectively along with Super AMOLED display on board.
Furthermore, rumors suggested that the new smartphones will be launched QHD 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is touted that the Pixel XL variant will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor along with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM and internal storage of 32 GB. The high-end version is also expected to sport a 3450 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Pixel variant is rumored to consist of a Snapdragon 820 chipset with same RAM and internal storage as that of the other variant. It will also sport a 2770mAh battery. Besides, both the devices will also feature the USB Type-C port for faster data transfers and charging.
To add to the expected features, Know Your Mobile reported that the Google Nexus 2016 device will sport a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera. In terms of software specs, both the variants might run on the upgraded Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with additional features like Split-screen mode, notification prioritization, customized settings and the Doze mode.
Lastly, the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 is expected to be priced higher than $260, depending on the variants.
