Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Rumors: October Release Date All Set? Tablet To Ship With 4K Display?
Dheeraj RThe latest rumors about Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 5 hinted that the tablet will be released before the end of this year. Reports claimed that the technology giant might slate the release date of their new device in October 2016 with new specs and features like new Intel chipset and 4K display.
However, few reports suggested that the release date of the Surface Pro 5 might be pushed forward to March 2017 because of the inclusion of Intel's Kaby Lake processor. However, there is no official confirmation given by the Redmond-based technology giant. Hence, all the release date rumors should still be taken with a grain of salt.
Apart from the release date speculations, PC Tablet Media claimed that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport the new Kaby Lake chipset and 4K display panel in order to provide a tough competition to the Apple device like MacBook Pro 2016.
The Kaby Lake chipset is expected to consist of a 14-nm manufacturing process, which will provide the Surface Pro 5 users with 40 percent enhanced performance and excellent cooling technology as compared to the earlier installment.
Apart from that the new processor, the Surface Pro 5 is rumored to consist of a 21-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch screen options with PixelSense display panel with 4K resolution onboard. It will also feature a 16 GB RAM with Surface AIO graphics unit.
In terms of software specs, the upcoming Microsoft device will run on the latest Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 operating system, which is touted to provide innovative features like the revamped and redesigned action center.The latest version of Microsoft Surface Pro device will also reportedly consist of a 16-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera.
As far as the price of the new Microsoft device is concerned, a $100 increase is expected because of the additional new specs and features in the Surface Pro 5 as compared to its predecessor.
