'Pokémon GO' Update: Capture Location, Evolution Spawns, Nest Migrations; Tracking System Still In The Works?
J RoseNiantic Labs has released an update earlier this week, reintroducing an old feature to "Pokémon GO" as well as bringing other tweaks and fixes.
The development team has announced on the official Facebook page that they are currently working on a new update for "Pokémon GO" for both Android and iOS.
The new update will mark the return of the capture location feature, one of the game's original features during launch. Niantic removed the feature previously due to its slow loading time, rendering it completely hard to use for players.
The Capture Feature will show where a Pokémon was caught, and will be displayed on its information screen. However, it no longer shows the actual map in the game, and was replaced by text showing which city and state the Pokémon was caught in, according to Game Rant.
In other news, it looks like Pokémon nests are now spawning evolutions more often than usual. According to Cary Palmer, who compiles all "Pokémon Go" nest spawn locations, Pokémon evolutions tend to appear at a higher rate compared to previous updates.
This follows the recent report that Pokémon nests and spawns has changed dramatically over the past few days. According to Pokémon GO Hub, a lot of nests have migrated again, and the changes were said to be huge this time around. Spawn locations and times have also changed.
Both confirmed and unconfirmed changes are welcome improvements to the game, but players are still asking Niantic as to when they will finally provide a working tracker for "Pokémon GO."
We have reported previously that the tests being conducted on the game's new nearby tracking system may have already ended, based on the removal of the user behavior tracking platform in the game's codes. Niantic have already moved on from testing phase and is preparing to redeploy the new and improved feature.
An announcement may be expected soon, although Niantic is known for being absolutely vague about future release dates.
Stay tuned for more "Pokémon GO" news.
