'Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location' Is A Risk, Developer Says
C. de LacyJust a few more days before the latest spinoff from the FNaF world, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," developer Scott Cawthon responded to one fan's worry and anticipation of the game.
In the original post from one of the forums on Steam, StarlightScrubLord posted a topic regarding the release of the game "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" with the worry of it getting the same reception as the badly received game "Five Nights at Freddy's World" RPG spinoff game.
The RPG spinoff was taken off from Steam for several weeks after it went through horrendous amounts of revisions and fixes. Cawthon admitted that the game was rushed and the developer pledged not to do the same mess again.
The developer himself responded in the post, which somehow gave a sense of assurance that the game will be at its best.
"This is just the nature of adding something new to any series, and a risk that every developer takes. I have no idea what the response will be. Everyone might love it or everyone might hate it. Obviously I hope that the response will be positive! Only time will tell!"
Cawthon didn't say that the game will be loved by everybody and it is indeed a risk. With every sequel, be it vanilla to the series or a spinoff, it will always be a risk as the reception may not always be the same as the original.
"Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is the sixth game in the series and will be the second spinoff title. Scheduled to be released on October 7, the game will put players in the shoes of a technician instead of a guard and an entirely new setting at Circus Baby's Pizza World.
With the time spent on developing and teasing "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," fans may safely assume that the game got all the attention, quality testing and work it deserves.
