iPhone 7 vs Galaxy Note 7: Which Phone Explosions Are Worse And More Frequent?
C. de LacyThe news of explosions of the Note 7 made a huge buzz online, putting Samsung under the heavy limelight. Unfortunately, Apple seems to be following suit, or are they?
Courtesy of BGR.com, a report regarding the recent recall of the fiery handsets have already commenced. However, what really made the news was not the Note 7, but another occurrence with a different model, the iPhone 7.
Exploding batteries isn't something new and it isn't really something that can be 100 percent avoided. Factory defects and bad battery packing can cause even the most expensive phone to go into flames.
Apparently, the iPhone series wasn't an exception as an explosion was recently reported. A PhoneArena reader submitted a report regarding his experience with the iPhone 6S catching fire. The combustion actually took place while the phone was supposedly safe in the man's back pocket.
The reader was sent immediately to the ER for treatment, but he was still hoping that Apple would at least replace his phone. This image shows what was left of the exploded iPhone after the incident.
Another report was submitted as well, and this time, with an Apple iPhone 7, sharing the same fate of many charred Samsung Galaxy Note 7 before it.
It doesn't necessarily mean that iPhones will also have waves of fiery accidents like what have happened with the Note 7. Samsung took responsibility for it at some extent and even made an official announcement and apology globally, but consumers are yet to hear from Apple.
Based from the frequency of the accidents, it's unlikely that Apple will pull out its products anytime soon, but it would always be best to be wary if there are any abnormal activities or temperature while using iPhones or just about any mobile for safety.
