More screenshots from the upcoming action-adventure game "Gravity Rush 2" were shown on the official Playstation Facebook page this week.

In "Gravity Rush 2," main protagonist Kat is going to encounter enemies as big as actual cities. One such creature is called Ghost City, a huge, fearsome enemy which eats up buildings and uses them as limbs to reinforce itself.

Kat will also make her way back to the town of Hekseville where her adventure first started, but this is not the same Hekseville she once knew. The town is now protected by a scientist named Dr. Brahman, along with his daughter Kali Angel.

The new screenshots also showcased Kat's various powers while in Jupiter Style, which includes new abilities like Surge Kick and Debris Ball. Kat's Lunar Style is more of a speedster type, with fast attacks like the Wormhole kick, while the Vortex Throw freezes the enemies in place, allowing her to close in for the kill.

A new side mission called "Mining" is also introduced, where Kat can gather gems and talismans. Talismans are equippable items which will greatly increase her powers.

Screenshots of Kat's costumes in the game are also showcased, which includes her Jazz Singer outfit, her mining outfit, Nurse costume, her school uniform from the original "Gravity Rush," and her waitress costume.

"Gravity Rush 2" is an upcoming game developed by SIE Japan Studio and Project Siren, and was first revealed as "Team Gravity Project" at Tokyo Game Show 2013 in September.

Two years later, it was unveiled as "Gravity Rush 2," and was announced to be in development for the Playstation 4. The first "Gravity Rush" game, released on the Playstation Vita in 2012, was met with generally positive reviews, and has earned cult status among fans. The game currently has an 83 rating on review site Metacritic.

"Gravity Rush 2" is set to be released on Playstation 4 on Jan. 19 in Japan, Jan. 20 in North America and the UK, and Jan. 18 in Australia and other European territories.
