iPad Pro 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 vs Nexus 7 2016: Which Tablet Is Worth The Wait Based On Rumored Specs?
Anish AsokanAs most fans are gearing up for more improved tablets, here is a detailed comparison of the upcoming tablets - the iPad Pro 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, and the Nexus 7 2016 based on their rumored specs. While Huawei built Nexus 7 which seems to be ready for launch by year-end, the Apple iPad Pro 2 and the Samsung Tab S3 ould only see a launch in 2017, perhaps in March.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to be powered by Exynos 8890 processor whereas the Google-Huawei built Nexus 7 tablet is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the iPad Pro 2 is rumored to be fuelled by the A10X chip.
Looking at the camera perspective, the front camera specs of Nexus 7 is not available .However, it is widely expected to have a 13 MP rear camera. Coming to the Galaxy Tab S3 model, it is likely to feature a 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. The Apple iPad Pro 2 is expected to take the lead in the camera specs, with a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera similar to what we saw in the iPad Pro.
All the three tablets are expected to have improved battery capacities than their predecessors. The Google Nexus 7 2016 is expected to come with a massive 5100 mAh battery capacity whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to have 4000 mAh. There are no leaks yet with respect to the battery capacity of the iPad Pro 2.
In terms of operating system, PC Advisor reports of the rumors that the Nexus 7 could be running on Andromeda .However considering the timelines, it is possible that Nexus 7 comes with Android Nougat. The Galaxy S3 tablet is expected to be launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow though would be later available for Android Nougat upgrades. The iPad Pro2 is the safe assumption here and would be running under the iOs10 operating system.
According to Tech Radar, the Apple iPad Pro 2 is expected to abandon the 3.5 mm standard headphone jack.
The pricing information regarding the tablets is vague, though there are reports that the Google Nexus 7 would be more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3. Stay tuned for more news regarding these devices.
