Android Nougat 7.0 Update For Samsung Galaxy S7 Set For Dec 2016; Beta Version Out In UK & South Korea
PrakashThe latest Android Nougat 7.0 is due to be rolled for the Samsung Galaxy S7. It has been recently reporte that Samsung has released the Android 7.0 Nougat beta to its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices in its home country South Korea.
Two days earlier, UK customers with a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone can sign up to try out Android Nougat on their device. However the server crashed upon launch.
Consumers interested in taking part in the OS beta test need to download the "Galaxy Beta Programme" application from Galaxy Apps and submit the application form through "Registration" menu on the top of the app.
Users can upgrade using the Galaxy Beta Program app from the Galaxy Apps Store.
Earlier Samsung hinted about the releasing Android 7.0 Nougat beta for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge (unlocked version) in early November. The results from beta testing will be noted regarding the functioning, heating, multi-tasking, for the official launch. Samsung will surely pay more attention in beta testing after the recent Note 7 fiasco. It may also be the case that official release may be delayed for proper and detailed beta-testing.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update is expected to come to the smartphones which are not older than two years. Also, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be the first to receive updates. In Samsung the list could be likely as Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7 Active, Galaxy S7 Batman edition, Galaxy S7 Olympic edition, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 Ironman edition, and Galaxy S6 Active.
Google's new firmware will bring features like Grace UX, multi-window, direct reply notifications, extra power efficiency, Google Assistant, VR interface, Seamless updates, Data saver, improved file browser, instant apps, bundled notifications, and improved Java 8 language support.
