Due to the Samsung Note 7 fiasco, the Korean tech giant's reputation has been badly hurt. In order to continue the domination of the smartphone industry apart from winning back the fans, many feel that innovative devices hold the key. And perhaps the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the company's main salvation.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2017.

According to Cnet, the Galaxy model is expected to include an AI feature in the name of Viv, replacing Samsung's own S Voice. With Samsung purchasing Viv, AI seems to be gaining momentum.

The report also confirmed the earlier reports of the smartphone coming up with two variants- one 5.1-inch and the other 5.5-inch.  The 5.5-inch device is expected to have 4K display whereas the 5.1 inch is anticipated to feature a 2K  curved AMOLED display, according to  Daily Star.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly have ARM Mali-G71 GPU under its hood. An octa-core Snapdragon SoC is expected to make it a cut, making it a very powerful performer than most users could imagine.

Other rumored features include Corning Gorilla Glass 5.0 glass, an iris scanner, finger print scanner, and wireless charging. There are also reports the battery capacity in the new Galaxy S8 could be higher than the earlier Galaxy models.

With all the rumored specs put in place, the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be one of the best flagship smartphones of 2017 and perhaps could win hearts of many fans across the world. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming phone.
