More details about the highly anticipated "Mass Effect Andromeda" has emerged, including information about the game's new alien race and more.

More information has been revealed this week about Bioware's much-awaited game, thanks to Game Informer. Here are some of more interesting features they have uncovered.

New Alien Race: The Kett

A new enemy race will be waging war against humankind in "Mass Effect Andromeda," as revealed by Game Informer. These new alien species are known as The Kett. According to the game's art designer Joe McMillan, the design of this new race deviates from the usual "sexy, sleek appeal" that other characters have exhibited in previous "Mass Effect" titles.

According to Inverse, the design of the Kett is a bit more intimidating than the previous races, sporting more of an "organic" feel, even down to its armor. The publication further pointed out that the race can be compared to Protheans or Krogans at most, and is said the be the most "alien-looking" among the rest of the races.

The "Mass Effect 3" Influence

It is not unusual for a sequel to take a few elements from its previous titles, and "Mass Effect Andromeda" is no different. Bioware has said that it has learned a lot from its "Mass Effect 3" multiplayer, and will be incorporating a few influences from that to the new game.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" producer Fabrice Condominas also told Game Informer that apart from the older titles, the team has also taken player feedback into consideration, making sure that they incorporate not just some of the well-loved elements from the previous games, but some ideas that the players would want to see as well.

New Asari Companion Vs. Liara

Players will be meeting a new companion in the game, PeeBee, an Asari with a bubbly personality and a sharp tongue. PeeBee is described by Bioware's Mac Walters as a character who has a sense for adventure, and is in stark contrast with "Mass Effect"'s other popular Asari character, Liara.

"She's very bubbly; Liara was very serious," Mass Effect: Andromeda Creative Director Marc Walters told Game Informer. "Peebee will buck the norm at any given time. She's not about rules or culture or anything like that. She's not even about teams or teamwork."

With her bubbly demeanor and wit to match, PeeBee is sure to be one fun companion to be with, and a departure from the usual Asari players have encountered in the past.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" is scheduled for a Spring 2017 release.
