HTC has missed the deadline by the months this time in releasing the Android update. However it is confirmed that the company will still give the Android 7.0 Nougat for its two flagship phones, the HTC 10 and the HTC 10 Design in late November or Early December.

In the past, HTC has been among the first to update their smartphones with major Android OS updates.

HTC has released the list of smartphones which will receive the initial roll out of Android Nougat updates. It was also the first company to issue the list of its Android Nougat compatible device on Android Platform.

As per the report, the Android 7.0 Nougat update would hit its current flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 and HTC 10 Design, before the end of the year, followed by other compatible devices in next year.

However, we have got a fresh update for HTC Android 7.0 release date.

According to a well-known HTC leakster @LlabTooFeR, who has earlier provided reliable information about HTC, the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be first out in Europe in late November or early December. While the update will initially only be available in Europe, other countries will reportedly follow soon.

So it looks like we're just a few short weeks away from this happening, unless there are any last-minute delays.

The list of other smartphones to get the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update includes HTC One A9 and HTC One M9. It is confirmed that the device will be getting the updates soon, however the official release date is not out.

We assume that, as usual, units that have been sold unlocked will be the first to receive the new Android version, followed at some later point by those purchased from carriers.

Also, it is rumored that Android Nougat 7.0 will not be compatible with devices which are older than two years.
