ExtraTorrent And Other Torrent Sites Rumors Of Going Down May Soon Stop; Google To Restrict Ads On Fake News Sites

While there has been a non-stop paranoia of sites like ExtraTorrent getting put down, Google and Facebook will be soon working to purge sites on spreading wrong information by blocking ads, making revenues for client advertisers impossible.

We've seen all sorts of news and rumors regarding torrent sites being put down ever since Kickass Torrents was killed. Unfortunately, some communities and worse, news sites, chose to dwell on the incident, inciting fear and misinformation about sites like ExtraTorrent and The Pirate Bay following suit.

As expected, none of them have any significance as to what has been actually happening. This entire subject matter is what Google and Facebook seem to be targeting this time according to a report from Reuters.

As the report said, Google will be working on a policy change that will block such websites that dishes out incorrect information and misleading news from using the popular AdSense feature. Facebook is reported to be doing the same as well.

This was due to the recent remarks on Google, Facebook, and Twitter being involved with how the US presidential election was affected through false and malicious information that made way for Donald Trump's victory.

The same could be possible with such sites that misrepresents news regarding Torrent communities as most of these online news outlets also rely on heap tons of adverts not limited to just AdSense.

If any of these weren't enough, especially ExtraTorrent's stand, it just reached its 10th year recently, as reported by TorrentFreak, indicating the sites resiliency against whichever gets thrown at it.

Even if this year has been actually nice to torrent sites, ExtraTorrent's representative and operator SaM still believe that torrents will be a permanent thing and this site will stay around as the people need it to.

Stay tuned for more news on ExtraTorrent and other Torrent sites.
