'The Last Of Us 2' Wishlist: Things That We Want To See In The Sequel

Let's face it, Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us" was amazing. From the impressive storyline to the excellent gameplay, there is nothing but praise for this game. As such, one can't blame people for being overly hyped for the sequel.

So what do we want to see in the next installment of "The Last of Us"? Here are some of them.

Picking Up Where Ellie and Joel Left Off

We are not going to spoil what actually happened at the end of "The Last of Us," but fans of the game would agree that it is one of the most memorable endings in video game history.

Some speculate that this is the end of the line for Joel and Ellie, and new characters are to be introduced soon. However, most of the fans are adamant that the story must continue.

According to Game Rant, the voice of Joel, Troy Baker, said that he does not know anything about "The Last Of Us 2," which may mean that Joel's character is not returning for the sequel. On the other hand, this may just mean that the voice actor just does not want to give anything away at this point.

While new characters sound most appealing, it is still interesting to see how the rest of the story unfolds for Ellie and Joel.

Play More As Ellie

Playing as Joel in the game is quite enjoyable, but if Naughty Dog does plan on a sequel, then it would make more sense to play more as Ellie instead. Not to completely write Joel out of the action, but we to see more action with Ellie as a main playable character.

New Character

Don't get us wrong, we love Ellie and Joel to death, but some people want to see new characters in "The Last of Us 2." Veering away from the Joel-Ellie plot of the first game, some people think that there are more stories out there that needs to be told, and it's not necessarily just revolving around the first story.

Ellie and Joel can still take the top billing, but as Red Bull pointed out, it is interesting to see a stronger set of supporting characters in the new game, plus we want to see these supporting characters grow.

As for the release date, it could be anytime in the next four to five years, but until Naughty Dog announces anything, expect more rumors and speculations to come from excited fans.

More "The Last of Us 2" news will be revealed here so stay tuned.
