Samsung has already enjoyed a lot of spotlight with the unveiling of its latest Android super smartphone, Galaxy S3. Now, the popular Galaxy series phone maker is rumored to come with more offerings with the head start of 2012 Summer Olympics.

Samsung has left no stone unturned in the branding and marketing of its product offerings released, and the manufacturer even swiped the sponsorship campaign of becoming the official brand for the Summer Olympics to be held in London in July. And now, reports are swirling in the tech gossip world that a special edition of the successful Samsung Galaxy Note will be unveiled by the company to be sold exclusively in the UK through the carrier operator O2, as reported by GSMarena.

This rumor became rife when a Twitter user uploaded a series of attractive photos that seem to reveal a new Olympic edition Samsung Galaxy Note. As it is visible in the picture, the device is being flaunted by Samsung as the Great Britain version that is backed by a glossy black cover with the Union Flag on it.

The images also show the cover, which is thicker than that of the average Note. Galaxy Note's packaging is also on display, and boasts a second design, which is the Team GB lion mark on it. GSMArena mentioned that along with a new back cover, the Olympic edition of Galaxy Note will include a £1 (around $1.55) contribution to "Team GB athletes of the future," and the chance to win tickets to the Olympics.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Samsung is producing a Galaxy Y Olympics variant as well, which will also spot the same back cover and the offer. There are around 11,000 Olympic themed phone backs which have been bundled with Samsung Galaxy Note and 15,400 with Samsung Galaxy Y phones. The phone's back will be included with the Galaxy Device at the time of purchase while stocks last.

And those interested to avail these special edition smartphones can head up straight to the Samsung's site as this report is no more a rumor. The company's website is now showing more on the same matter on this link. And Samsung has also mentioned that the offer will end on May 24.
