'Tom Clancy's The Division': Update 1.5: Survival Mode, Game Changes, Bug Fixes, More
Gram"Tom Clancy's The Division" has recently just rolled out its 1.5 update, and it's currently available for Xbox One and PC version, while Playstation 4 players will have to wait until December 20 for this update.
With it comes a new game mode and a bunch of several other changes in-game. Do note though, that for the new game mode, you'll have to purchase it as a DLC first.
Survival Mode
First of all, Survival mode is a paid DLC so make sure to buy it first if you're interested. Based in the other games, the idea of a survival mode is like trying to fight off enemies for a given time, or having a few equipments and trying to survive with that.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" however, takes the idea of survival to a new level. You will be sent to an area where there's an intense snowstorm together with other 23 players. Your main objective is to obtain a cure in a certain part of the map but that will prove to be one of the greatest challenge you'll ever face as a survivor.
In this mode, you will start off with a bare minimum set of equipment (others call it trash) and besides that you'll have to fight off sickness, the cold, and your hunger. You'll have to scavenge your surroundings for better equipment, supplies and raw materials you can use for crafting better equipments.
And as if that's not enough, besides those 23 other players there are also non-player enemies that may seem not that strong but will give you a challenge when you face them off due to your bad equipment.
This game mode is session based and could last up to 2 hours. You will be rewarded with items in the main game depending on how good you are and the amount of time you spend on surviving will also be a factor.
Game changes
Along with the new game mode, there are also game changes that had been implemented with this update. One of this update is the adding of the World Tier 5 bracket where enemy NPCs are level 24 and maximum gear score is raised to 256.
Bug fixes
Of course, since this is an update there are also bug fixes of which a few are limited to PC players. Most game breaking issues are addressed together with some skill changes to make the game more stable.
New weapons
Finally, this update wouldn't be complete without the new weapons right? So here's a video by WOBO showcasing the new weapons from the update:
Be sure to check out the patch notes for the whole list of update. Stay tuned for more news on "Tom Clancy's The Division."
