LG G6 Release Date, Leaks & Other Rumors; The G5 Successor To Integrate Battery & Ditch Modules [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelLG seems set to shake things up in the smartphone arena with its brand new offering, the LG G6 smartphone: a revamped version of its precursor, the LG G5. The G5 did not quite sweep gadget freaks off their feet, although it incorporated the concept of modular hardware as add-ons to a smartphone; some reports even claim it lacked implantation.
Neither the inclusion of a second wide-angle camera nor LG's modular "Friends" could serve as saving grace for the ill-fated G5. But the company is bent on making a comeback with a near flawless LG G6 if recent reports are anything to go by. In line with this, journalist David Ruddock recently spilled the beans about a few alleged changes to the LG G6's components via a tweet. Ruddock's source claim that the LG G6 will integrate its battery into the device; in other words, users will not be able to either swap or remove it.

The market is no stranger to the adoption of integrated batteries in smartphones; however, there are certain users, especially commercial travelers, who prefer to swap a battery out for 100% charge in a flash. LG is also said to go for a radically contrasting hardware design for the G6. The smartphone is likely to sport a perfect blend of metal and glass materials, more or less similar to what Samsung is wielding at the moment, as well as an extremely reflective metallic element at the back. Apparently, the LG G6's build will be in favor of a more graceful design as compared to the LG G5 and V20's all-metal body, GSM Arena reported.

There is also hearsay that LG will not oust the 3.5mm headphone jack for the G6, following the footsteps of Apple --- unlike Motorola smartphones and the purported Galaxy S8, which is said to get rid of the headphone jack, GottaBeMobile reported. However, readers are advised to bear in mind that none of these has been officially confirmed yet; but as the year comes to a close, more details for the LG G6 are likely to surface online.
