Introduced on September 2016, the Google Allo instant messaging mobile app has emerged as a true contender in the messenger app battlefield which was dominated in the past by the Messenger app of Facebook and Apple's iMessage. The giant leap in the number of Google Allo download which ballooned with the introduction of the Google Allo virtual assistant along with several game changing innovations is a great proof that the messenger app from Google is giving Facebook and Apple a run for their money.

One of the key components of Google's messenger app is the Google Allo virtual assistant. The Know-It-All tag linked with the Google Allo messenger app is said to be primarily because of its virtual assistant. According to Mark Hachman, senior editor of PC World, Google Allo's virtual assistant is better than both Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana. In his Google Allo review, Hachman gave the virtual assistant a favorable mark and even went as far as calling the virtual assistant a real treasure.

To put it in a better perspective, Google Allo's virtual assistant is like Siri and Cortana but on steroids. Google Allo virtual assistant makes use of the vast search data base of Google to answer any and all questions that users can think about. With its highly advance artificial intelligence, the virtual assistant can even carry out an actual conversation with its user, making it not only an assistant but a user's very own virtual companion.

Also, the Google Allo messaging app allows users to include the virtual assistant with conversations with their contacts making it easier for its users to plan for a vacation or a simple night out. The virtual assistant can suggest top vacation picks or top restaurants or cafes nearby, which makes planning less stressful and more efficient.
