With the arrival of the aforesaid devices just around the corner, the rumor mill is up and running at full force and churning all sorts of speculations around Apple's Spring 2017 event.
Previous reports suggest that the iPad Air 3 will mark the end of Apple's Air line and the decision to get rid of the Air lineup stemmed from the increasing popularity of the iPad Pro brand. Moreover, with some uber cool devices in the iPad Pro line and an array of awe-inspiring specs and features, there is hardly any difference between these two brands, according to MacWorld.

If latest rumors proved to be true, the Apple iPad Air 3 will be housed in a 7000-series aluminum body. The iPad Air 3 will come with the Apple Pencil support and will sport a thinner design as compared to its precursor. The Apple iPad Air 3 will also boast a Smart Connector. There's hearsay that a 10.9-inch variant of the Apple iPad Air 3 could be in the offing as well. Alongside the iPad Mini 5 and the iPad Air 3, Apple is also expected to announce the iPad Mini 5 in March 2017.

The Apple iPad Pro line, on the other hand, is rumored to get a 10.5-inch variant --- exclusively designed for education and business professionals. One of the most striking features of this device is not sporting a Home button. Under the hood, the Apple iPad Pro 2 will have a comparatively better RAM coupled with a powerful A10X processor, 512GB internal storage, and a robust battery.

Optimistic iPad fans believe that the Cupertino-based tech firm will come out with an upgraded Apple iPad Mini 5 next year. This speculation stemmed from the fact that the company has not rolled out any significant update for the iPad Mini 4 for quite a long time, according to GameNGuide.
If rumors running rampant online are anything to go by, the Apple iPad Mini 5 will come with an Apple A9/A10 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It will also boast a 7.9-inch Retina Display and will house a 7000-series aluminum chassis. Apple is likely to release the iPad Mini 5 in three storage options as well --- 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
