Rockstar Games basically announced the worldwide release date for the highly-anticipated sequel to its hit western action-adventure video game, Red Dead Redemption, through a poster nearly a month ago.

Rockstar Games has also confirmed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date scheduled for fall 2017 in a post on its official website earlier this year. The game developer noted in the same post as well that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems. This stirred conversations among PC players regarding the upcoming game's availability on their preferred platform.

Despite the lack of official announcement, the rumor mill is spinning frantically --- churning out a slew of speculations around Red Dead Redemption 2, indicating that the much-awaited game will eventually arrive on PCs. Meanwhile, other reports suggest that RDR 2 can be played online. However, Rockstar Games has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations; meaning, players should take these rumors with a huge grain of salt.

Citing hints on the U.S. GameStop listing page for RDR 2, PCAdvisor reported that PC players will be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on the platform of their choice. But upon further investigation, it seems that PC players will have to continue waiting with bated breath for an official statement from Rockstar Games regarding this matter.

In other news, a Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer has been created completely in Rockstar Games' other cash cow --- GTA 5. It's worth noting that the fan-favorite open world game offers players an array of tools that facilitate such content creation; thus, YouTuber Freddy Los Santos was able to create a trailer and change the assets without using any external software.

This explains a few obvious changes in the recreated trailer. For instance, GTA 5 doesn't let its characters ride horses. Bearing this in mind, the YouTuber swapped the horse riding portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer with characters riding bikes.

The recreated Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer retains the wonted sober tone of the game's surroundings --- once again, showing how drastically different the two games are from each other despite being made by the same game developers.
