A video released by Asus depicts a mysterious handset. It was seen silhouetted in the video, like the company teasing a new handset to come.
The video was titled "Explore the Unknown - CES 2017 ZenFone Official Teaser." In the last part of this video Asus ended with the word "Zennovation," and maybe a big hint that they will announce new innovated ZenFone this coming CES 2017.
This speculation of Asus' new device is likely to be part of the company ZenFone line. Although it's not exactly clear what the handset model is, it is obvious in the title that this could be an new ZenFone model.
Trusted Reviews reported that this rumored handset is called Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom. The company has not been confirmed this new handset rumor. It's either Asus is going to launch a new smartphone, or they're massively trolling us all.
The same site also speculates the specs and feature of the rumored Asus ZenFone. One is the Dual-camera module. LG, Huawei, and iPhone have been seen using this fashion, and many manufacturers are expected to introduce such feature next year, so we'd be surprised if Asus didn't follow this trend.
According to Android Authority, one possibility is the upcoming Tango phone which Asus has recently been rumored to reveal in Las Vegas next month. Likewise, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom has recently been spotted at China's TENAA certification agency and also at the FCC. It will reportedly feature a generous 4,850 mAh battery and come with a dual camera setup on the back similar to the iPhone 7 Plus.
Other rumors suggest that the rumored Asus ZenFone handset won't be super high-end, which could disappoint Asus fans. Tipsters online hints it features Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, and 64GB of storage.
Whatever this new handset that Asus teased us with, CES 2017 is in just a few weeks. There, the company will answer this mystery handset and we will know for sure.
