After audio issues haunted the Google Pixel, users are now reporting that their handsets suddenly shuts down even with 30 percent battery life remaining. Google has yet to release a statement on the issue which has raised concern for many device owners.

Sudden device shutdown

Recent reports indicate that some Google Pixel users are experiencing a bug on their devices which shuts it down at 30 percent battery life. They claim that the phone does not anymore start and that a user would need to plug it to a charger to restart it.

Reddit users discussed the inconvenience the shutdown has caused them. One user even claimed that he needed the phone too much since he was on a business trip in India. "Customer service wasn't really helpful. All they could come up was that I should factory reset my phone and wait for it to happen again, and then visit them," he added noting that he wants a replacement if the same issue happens to his Google Pixel again.

What is the cause?

Reports explain that the cause of the problem could be the newly installed Android Nougat system which is also being blamed for the battery problems of the Nexus 6P. Many are even waiting if other handsets running on Nougat also experience the same issue.

However, the main problem for Google Pixel users is that the tech company has not yet "fully acknowledged" the issue of the phone since its customer service is still recommending a factory reset for the users.

This is becoming a concern for those experiencing the device shutdown since they are not sure if the issue will be properly addressed by Google. Perhaps, there are still many users who are not yet raising this problem in the proper forum. Are you also having a shutdown problem with your Google Pixel?
