Utada Hikaru's Father Retracted Daughter's Confirmed Involvement For 'Kingdom Heart III' Soundtrack
Jason GlennThe action role-playing game from Square Enix, "Kingdom Hearts III" has been very quiet lately when it comes to news and updates for the upcoming game. If you are one of those players who are very keen when it comes to the game's soundtrack then this news might be "music to your ears" -- well sort of.
Earlier this week, Utada Hikaru, the Japanese superstar who has released great songs for the game was reported to be working new music for the "Kingdom Hearts III" soundtrack according to WWG. Hikaru's father and manager, broke the news about the 33-year old songstress' return for the games' soundtrack when he replied to a fan on Twitter.
We'll do it. Actually we have already started. Sorry for keeping you waiting. teruzane @ritch_diaz @utadahikaru Still Waiting for a confirma

Later on, Hikaru's father then made some corrections to his statement regarding his daughter's involvement for the soundtrack. "We are eager to do it. however, our decision is not official yet," he said. While his retraction statement confused and disappointed fans at the same time, they are still hopeful that the singer will still be a part of the series.

Even though there are no sufficient details or official statements on her involvement in the soundtrack of the upcoming game, her music in the series is a big part to fans of the series. Hikaru recorded the song "Simple and Clean" for the first series and the song "Sanctuary" for the "Kingdom Hearts II" that has been remixed several times over the years.
Some of Utada Hikaru's songs are to be used again for the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" that will be released on PlayStation 4 first quarter next year. Aside from her stint for the game's sound tracks, the Japanese singer is also successful outside the franchise with an album that sold very well in Japan.
As of now, there has been no confirmation or any information given by Square Enix on Utada Hikaru's involvement for the soundtrack. The publisher is currently focusing on the release of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" while "Kingdom Hearts III" is expected to be release next year.
