Samsung Debuts CH711, The Curved Monitor Meant For Gaming; Specs & Features
Bee BOn December 29, Samsung debuted the CH711, a curved Quantum Dot monitor that's been built for the purpose of providing fans with a more improved gaming experience. The monitor will be officially unveiled during the Korean tech giant's CES 2017 event.
Samsung refers to the CH711 as a monitor created "with gamers in mind." It features a 1,800R curvature and a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution that is expected to perk up game time. It also sports a viewing angle of 178 degrees and a total sRGB color coverage of 125 percent.
The monitor also comes in two variations: 27-inch and 31.5-inch. It's sleek design is said to complement any decor that consumers have. It also has a neat design that keeps the HDMI cables from sticking out since they have a designated area for hiding in the stand's neck.
Samsung's CH711 will also be free for exploration during the CES 2017, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Those who will be attending the event will be given the chance to experience the curved monitor while competing with other gamers. Attendees will have stations where they can choose to play some of this generation's hottest video games.
According to Engadget, Samsung has been using the Quantum Dot system in its televisions for quite some time already. However, the high-end technology was only recently applied on the Korean manufacturer's monitors. Samsung already debuted two new Quantum Dot monitors during the IFA 2016 conference. The CH711 is one of the fortunate Samsung monitors that has been integrated with the tech.
OLED's are very popular among gamers. However, enthusiasts have complained of lagging issues and these are just some of the problems that the Quantum Dot tech may be able to resolve. Quantum Dots are considered as a more superior choice when it comes to gaming experience.
2017's CES tradeshow will run from January 5-8 and will feature Samsung's latest creation. Gaming enthusiasts and other consumers interested in getting a first-hand experience of the new curved monitor may register on the official website.
