California's Computer History Museum will be launching its Make Software: Change the World! exhibit on Jan. 28, 2017 and will feature Blizzard's long-standing MMO, the "World of Warcraft." It's the only game to be featured.

According to PCGamesN, guests will learn about the creators of the tech and will also find out the users who have been impacted by their release. The Make Software: Change the World! exhibit "explores the impact of software on the lives of people everywhere, through seven game-changing applications," according to its official website.

The Make Software: Change the World! exhibit will highlight seven game-changing digital essentials such as Wikipedia, MP3s, Photoshop, Car Crash Simulation, MRI, text messages and Blizzard's popular MMO, the "World of Warcraft." It will also feature multimedia presentations as well as a Software Lab where users can get their hands on coding, according to DualShockers.

Since "World of Warcraft" has been one of the top MMOs in history, which has influenced millions of lives, it only makes sense to see it being represented by the museum. "MMORPGs are a major commercial venture, of which ["World of Warcraft"] is the most successful and take up massive amounts of time for a large number of people," according to the official overview from 2012 through Gamasutra.

The official overview also explained that gaming has been a major of computing and has moved most of its technical enhancements forward. The Make Software: Change the World! exhibit is especially designed for families, middle schoolers and adults.

"World of Warcraft" was released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment and the fourth released game set in the fantasy universe of Warcraft that was introduced by "Warcraft: Orcs & Humans" in 1994. In October 2010, the game had 12 million subscriptions and 5.5 million in October 2015 as per Blizzard's final report.

With the number of subscriptions, the game stays the world's most-subscribed massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It also holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG by subscribers.
