Netflix, Hulu, And Amazon Prime: Movies And Shows Coming Your Way This 2017
Rei LantionFrom Amazon Prime Originals like "Sneaky Pete", old Disney Classics like "Pocahontas", and all-time favorites like "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," 2017 is already kicking off to a promising start for movie lovers and binge watchers. If you're planning to spend the first few days of the New Year holiday as a truly spectacular couch potato, don't worry - you're not alone. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have got you covered.
If you were one of the many Amazon users who streamed the pilot episode of "Sneaky Pete," your year-long wait for the full season is finally over, or so Inquisitr reports. Other Amazon Prime originals like "Just Add Water" and "Z: The Beginning of Everything" are also coming out of the woodwork for their long-overdue premiere this year.
Netflix subscribers, you've got your own original series to look forward to. It's the year of comedy for Netflix as the streaming service plans to release stand-up specials from comedians like Neal Brennan and Bill Burr. On January 3, Jen Kirkman returns for her special, "Jen Kirkman: Just Keep Livin'?" - following her successful 2015 Netflix special "I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine)."
Netflix is also releasing their reboot of the 1970's CBS TV hit, "One Day At A Time," streaming on January 6 alongside "Tarzan and Jane," "Degrassi: Next Class," and "Coin Heist." They're also streaming recent hits like "Alpha and Omega 7," and the fourth season of "Bates Motel." You can see a full list of what Netflix has in store for subscribers up 'til January 31 on ABC News.
Hulu's huge Disney Deal is not to be forgotten in the streaming madness. They kicked off the new year by streaming all four "Lethal Weapon" movies and 2010's family-friendly "The Spy Next Door." They've slated "Bones" Season 12 for January 4 and "Grimm" Season 6 on Jan. 6. The second season of Hulu's own original series, "The Path," airs on Jan. 25.
