With a Jet Black variant made available for the iPhone 7 release, fans are hoping that a Jet White option could also be introduced for the next iPhone release. Analysts and Apple users have weighed on this possibility after a mockup of the color variant surfaced online.

Twitter video shows white variant

A Twitter video showing the possible look of the iPhone Jet White design became viral. Some thought it was a real iPhone model but looking at it a little bit closer revealed that it was just a mockup. It also prompted many to question if Apple will really release a phone with this color.

Apple fans and users discussed that the iPhone model shown on the video was a regular iPhone 7 which could have been rendered a white color by a third-party company. There were also those who thought that the person who shot the clip just bought a white iPhone 7 casing on Alibaba.

Will a new color be added?

It has also been noted that it would not be possible to release a new color variant for the iPhone 7 release since they already launched the phone last year in different color versions including Rose Gold, Silver, Gold, Jet Black and Black. The only question is if Apple will introduce another color for the iPhone 8 release which is expected before the year ends.

However, having a new color option may not be the focus and priority of Apple for the iPhone 8. The tech giant is thought to be coming up with a more powerful device that is loaded with tons of features.

Not the proper name

Some also noted that the name "Jet White" may not be a proper term since the word "jet" means "very black" and may only be used for the black color option. What do you think of an all-white offering for the next iPhone release this year.
