The much talked about RIM's soon-to-be-unveiled BlackBerry 10-powered 'London' smartphone is in news again.

This time, though, BlackBerry news site N4BB has got an exclusive information on the same through a purported leaked document showing pictures and specs of RIM's first two smartphones based on its new BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Further, the documents have also revealed that one of the new BlackBerry smartphone will have no physical keyboard and it is internally dubbed by the name of "L-series," while the other phone with a physical keyboard is known as the "N-series."

The L-series device features a screen that is 2.16 inches wide with a resolution of 768×1280 pixels (pixel density of 356 pixels per inch or ppi). On the other hand, the QWERTY based N-series device features a display that is 2.08 inches wide with a resolution of 720×720 pixels (330 ppi).

N4BB noted that L-Series device featured more pixels per inch than Apple's iPhone 4/4S (330 ppi).

The image leaked by N4BB also mentioned that the initial units will feature OLED display panels, but future models could sport LCD panels. This indicates that RIM will be looking to roll out cost-effective BB smartphones with upgraded hardware in the future.

Talking about the release date of the new offerings, Thorsten Heins, CEO of Research in Motion (RIM), had reportedly said that BlackBerry 10 will be released by the 'later half of 2012.' Recent reports suggest that RIM will unveil the devices around mid-August. The L-series will hit the market first by September, this year itself, while the N-series is reportedly on track for a Q1 2013 release.

Past reports have also suggested that RIM was testing TI OMAP5 and Qualcomm processors for the new phone, both of which are going to come with 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The other rumored specifications for BlackBerry London smartphone includes 1 GB RAM, internal storage expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, and Wi-Fi range 2.4 GHZ b/g/n - 5GHz a/n.

The L-Series was expected ever since RIM had announced that the first BB 10 OS smartphone would sport a full-touch display. However, the N-Series seems to have come as a surprise though it has caught alpha testers of the OS off-guard.
