17 Video Games For 2017: 'Horizon Zero Dawn', 'Red Dead Redemption 2', And More; Worth Looking Forward To [VIDEO]
Portia Mae M. CansancioThere is a long list of games that are scheduled for release this 2017. It includes several massive titles delayed out of 2016 that join brand new games, fresh sequels, fascinating indies, and anticipated annual releases. There are many out there but here are some of the many good-looking games that are possible to play.
"Cuphead"
"Cuphead" is a one-of-a-kind hand-drawn game with a 1930's style of surrealist cartoons which is filled with old-school action game mechanics; it is for the game's fantastic look and feel. It was originally planned for release in 2015 but then moved to 2016 when it was decided that the game would be expanded. Now, 2017 might be the game's last chance to make an impression.
"Detroit: Become Human"
Though Quantic Dream's games have all been criticized for its flawed attempts to put agency of video games together with cinematic graphics --- only "Heavy Rain" managed to garner praises for the said problems despite its rough edges. Here comes "Detroit" --- a story of artificial humans that are becoming aware of themselves and rejecting their place as second class citizens --- that is under observation whether it will be successful or not. Note that it has an intriguing premise and excellent presentation.
"Horizon Zero Dawn"
Long after the catastrophe, primeval human being live alongside robotic creatures that bear more than a passing similarity to dinosaurs and the outcast Aloy goes on an expedition to find out the truth about those who came --- and seemingly disappeared ---- before her. "Horizon Zero Dawn" is an open-world techno-cavewoman RPG.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild"
This most anticipated game reverts to the freedom and exploration of the original 1986 release as it accepts the open-world conventions of many up-to-date games; "Breath of the Wild" is a big risk for such beloved and well-known slow-evolving series. It is to be launched on both Wii U console and Nintendo Switch that is still to be released soon.
"Red Dead Redemption 2"
Though "Grand Theft Auto" makers, as they took over this distinctive series set, were declined by the American frontier --- it resulted as one of 2010's most well-received and remarkable games. Details are still scarce about its 2017 sequel, but anything less than a highly refined and evocative adventure would be a surprise given Rockstar's unparalleled lineage.
Other games that are great-looking and are worth checking are as follows: "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard", "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom", "Nidhogg 2", "Mass Effect Andromeda", "Prey", "Sea Thieves", "Sonic Mania","South Park: The Fractured But Whole", "Tacoma", "Vampyr", "What Remains of Edith Finch", and "Yooka-Laylee".
Check out the video to see the trailer of one of the most anticipated games for 2017.
