It is no secret that Hatchimal is one of the most appealing toys in 2016 but just before the year wrapped up, Spin Master faced a controversial claim that the electronic pet swears in its sleep. However, the manufacturer denied such accusation and clarified that the modern Tamagotchi-like toy does not swear on its own.

Some parents who were enticed to get their children a Hatchimal recently claimed that the toy utters "f_ _ _ me," which apparently caught the attention of thousands of parents who bought one. A video posted on YouTube showed a hatching Penguala that murmured random sounds, which appeared to some as "f_ _ _ me."

The video was published on Christmas day and it gathered around 860,000 views as of this posting. Though there are parents who think that the toy really uttered the 'f" word, some believe that it was saying "hug me" instead, CNN Money reported.

In the said report, Spin Master also elucidated that Hatchimal's unique language comprises random noises and sounds but it does not know curse and foul languages. Additionally, the pet toy is programmed to make snoring noises while it sleeps and unidentifiable sounds when it's cold.

Meanwhile, the Canadian global toy company also had to deal with several challenges on Hatchimals apart from the aforementioned claim. Several consumers reported that their Hatchimals failed to hatch while some said that the toy died after hatching.

As reported by Mirror, there are those who were forced to buy the toy more than its retail price just to be able to give it as a gift to their kids. However, to their disappointment, the Hatchimal did not deliver happiness when it came out stillborn or dead as it suddenly powered down permanently.

One parent even claimed that her child believed she had been bad that's why she was sent a Hatchimal that wouldn't hatch. Fortunately, Spin Master is doing their best and even doubling their efforts to address the concerns of its consumers.

Hopefully, the issues about kid's Hatchimals get resolved sooner as the company hired more customer service representatives to assist the defective toy owners.
