Smart Deal: AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 selling for $0.01 at Amazon Wireless

Johnny Wills

Amazon Wireless is always the best place to pick up smartphones at discounted prices. Earlier this month, Amazon was offering Samsung Galaxy Nexus for just $0.01. This time Nokia Lumia 900 is on fire sale at the retailer.

Amazon will let you have Nokia Lumia 900 in all three colors - Cyan, White and Black. By picking the Windows Phone up for $0.01 means getting enrolled with AT&T for next two years. However, with discounted prices, AT&T is applying hefty early termination fee (ETF), which can go as high as up to $325 with $10 reduction per month.

The offer is also valid for existing AT&T customers, who are often left out of promotional Amazon offers (which are usually for those who are ready to open a new line with AT&T). However, they will have to extend their contract with AT&T by two years.

In case you are not familiar with Nokia Lumia 900, let me tell you that this smartphone has received the top spotlight among all Windows Phones.

The Lumia 900 has 4.3-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, topped by Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It runs on single-core 1.4 GHz Snapdragon processor. The device has 512MB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage. However, like all other Lumia phones, it lacks memory card slot for expandable memory options.

The device ships with Windows Phone OS 7.5 Mango. Unfortunately, it is not receiving Windows Phone 8 update. However, Microsoft has confirmed Windows Phone 7.8 Tango update for its existing Windows Phones.

Nokia Lumia 900 packs 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss optic sensor at the back, which captures images at 3264 X 2448 pixels resolution. Backed up with dual LED flash support, it records 720p HD videos at 30fps. There is also a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera in the device.
