Apple iPhone 2018: Next Year's iPhone Might Come Out As The Fastest Smartphone Ever
Shena GolosinoApple Inc. has been playing a major role in the technology front especially in the case of smartphones. Reports say that there's nothing new for iPhone models this 2017. Only innovations or minimal revisions on its hardware will be done.
According to BGR, the manufacturer of Apple chip-TSMC was reported to deliver prototype chips by its new 7nm process by this summer of 2017. Through this, there will be mass production of the extra-tiny chips in 2018. This is very timely for the release of iPhone 8s in 2018.
At present, Apple devices use the A10 family chips which are also manufactured by TMSC. Its measurement is at least 16nm process. There are reports which claim that either the iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 will be utilising the 10 nm TSMC chip. With the smartphone chip getting smaller each year, the iPhone model gets faster and faster in terms of performance. Eventually, the planned iPhone 8s in 2018 is expected to be the fastest smartphone ever with a 7nm chip.
Meanwhile, according to Mirror, Apple has been working out to roll out three iPhone models in the market. This includes a 5-inch model, 4.7-inch, and a 5.5-inch iPhone models. As Apple will be celebrating iPhone's 10th year anniversary this year, the report says that the Cupertino will be launching a new design of iPhone by the month of September this year.
The upcoming new models are rumoured to feature a curved bezel-free display with no home button, no headphone jack, and dual cameras. Furthermore, Apple will be using a new material for the curved OLED display.
