"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is returning with a bang as recent reports claimed that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) has earned his groove to fight against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) again. However, it seems that Rick is aware that his crew would get better chances at winning the battle if they recruit a potential ally, Gregory (Xander Berkeley). But will Gregory agree to join his rebellion against the leader of The Sanctuary?

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the actor behind Rick's character, Lincoln, revealed that the return of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will be the opposite of what fans saw in the season's first half. Along with some of his family members, Rick is determined to plot another fight with Negan. Additionally, actor Lincoln teased that because of losing a lot of his people, his character is back with more freedom and more thrill to go in a battle again.

The actor also expressed how he liked filming the episodes for the second half of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 and teased a special scene in Episode 16. Seemingly, a certain part in Episode 16 will increase the fans' hype too as Lincoln himself is too happy about it. He promised that there's a beat in the said episode that made him drop the script to do a punching in the air and some jigging.

Meanwhile, a report by TV Line revealed that Rick will pay Gregory a visit in his efforts to build an army against Negan. However, it still remains to be seen if the leader of the Hilltop Colony would finally form an alliance with Rick and his band. As pointed out by TV Line, Gregory may refuse to march into rebellion with him but the speculation is not confirmed yet.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 9 will return on Feb. 12. Check out the midseason premiere trailer below.
