CES 2017: Everything Awesome By Asus Launched, Includes Insane Motherboards & High Res Monitors!
Niyati S."In search of the incredible"- the tagline for Asus brand may be a fitting one, indeed. The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017 is a great place for brands to show off their latest wares to expectant fans and users. Asus is not one to be left behind and has launched many gadgets worth noting. These include 4K 120 Hz Screens, fast laptops, powerful motherboards, among other stuff.
Asus is using this opportunity to display many things from its "Republic of Gamers" lineup. These products are using and featuring Asus's own Aura Sync RGB lighting system. They are also promising great features, attributes, and awesome performance. Let us start with the list! The Asus ROG Maximus IX Extreme is the newly launched high-end gaming motherboard. It features an inbuilt CPU water cooler block and has RGB lighting. If the system detects water leaks in the cooling system, it will cut the power immediately. That translates into minimal damage to the system.
There is another Maximus IX board called the "Apex" that has a third DIMM slot, apart from 2 primary DDR4 DIMM slots. The third DIMM slot allows dual M.2 SSDs. The design is such that the M.2 drives are away from the hot graphics card and hence, will not affect the performance of the motherboard by warming up the system too much.
Apart from the boards, there are new monitors up for the grabs including the ROG Swift PG258Q which has a native refresh rate of 240Hz. It is a 38 inch curved IPS panel that comes with brilliant 3840 X 1600 resolution. For the 4K resolution lovers, there is the ROG Swift PG27UQ which is with a 27 inch IPS display, HDR support and a whopping 144Hz refresh rate!
The new gaming mice series include the ROG Strix Evolve, ROG Strix Impact, and the ROG Gladius II- all of which feature the new love of Asus, Aura Sync RGB lighting. The design is light, to encourage long hours of gaming sessions. The new microphone, Asus ROG Strix Magnus also features this lighting- an unnecessary feature but definitely an attractive one! Are the fans of Asus excited about all that is coming their way this year? The new laptop series include the cutting edge ZenBook UX490 laptop and the ASUSPRO B9440 business laptop.
