Set to be released later this year, the Asus ZenFone AR was recently revealed at the CES 2017 as a great handset which will run on the Google Tango AR. The phone also boasts a lightweight design specifically crafted for easier use.

Specs and features

One of the highlights of the new Asus ZenFone AR is its tri camera system which boasts a 23MP main camera for taking clear and sharp photos even in low light conditions and a fisheye lens. Users who tested the camera at the CES 2017 event commended the phone for its fast focusing mechanism.

Another big plus is the video mode which can shoot 4K clips. It also has advanced stabilization to avoid shaky shots.

These three cameras which are made for room mapping, motion tracking and depth tracking make it possible for users to create 3D indoor maps. The technology of these shooters is also very high end since it utilizes Sony IMX 318 lenses.

Other highlights

Complementing the great photos taken by these cameras is a 5.7-inch screen with an HD display. The screen also has a fingerprint scanner for security and the device runs on a Snapdragon chipset.

However, the brand of the phone is its ability to support the Daydream VR technology and Google's Tango AR. The latter makes the other featured technologies of the Asus ZenFone AR work.

Heat pipe

Due to the possibility that the things could heat up with all the functionalities offered by the phone, Asus also placed a heat pipe on the Asus ZenFone AR. This addition hopes to keep things cool when the phone is heavily used.

Apart from these features, the Asus Zenfone AR could also be purchased either with a 6GB of RAM or an 8GB of RAM. Its internal storage can also range from 32GB to 256GB. Are you excited for the upcoming release of the Asus Zenfone AR?
