Nens MitchellUsers of the Samsung Gear S3 have only nice things to say about the wearable device. It has proven to be a sturdy and functional gadget and can now be used even with an iPhone.
Launched late in 2016, the Samsung Gear S3 has been made compatible with Samsung devices and other Android phones. To pair it with with a gadget running on Android, a user needs to make sure that the operating system is updated at 4.4 and that the device has a 1.5GB of RAM.
The Samsung Gear application also needs to be installed from the Play Store. This will then lead to a set-up process that will require one to download two more additional applications. These are necessary for the phone and the smartwatch to pair. Those who will download the app just need to follow the command prompts to properly install it on the Samsung Gear S3.
iOS app now available
Just recently, Samsung has made the Gear application available for the iOS, after users waited for months following the company's announcement on this offering. This can already be used by owners of the Samsung Gear S2, Gear Fit2 and Gear S3 to pair their watches with the iPhone.
Features on the iOS
The Gear application on the iOS gives users the chance to get new watch faces and applications from the App Store. It can also sync and send music and images to the smartwatch. Using the iOS application, notifications can also be controlled and users will be able to track their smartwatch in case they lose it.
