HTC U Ultra and U-Play Specs Revealed at CES 2017
Hemal VoraAt the CES 2017 event, HTC unveiled its upcoming U series, premium line flagship devices, the HTC U Ultra and HTC U-Play. The company touts that the two devices have been pumped in with a lot of advanced features making them two of the most powerful devices in the smartphone market.
HTC U Series Will Have AI Support
First on the list is the new Artificial Intelligent Assistant named the Sense Companion. The AI Assistant can learn the user's behavior over a period of time and will display prioritized notifications and alerts based on whom the user contacts the most. The HTC U Ultra specs will be sporting a 'ticker-style' display, similar to the one in LG V20. The company said that the user will be required to perform the initial steps of training the AI by adding their favorite contacts and apps. This will allow the Sense Companion to manage the phone by itself in the future, as reported by Gadgets 360.
Biometric Voice Recognition and Type C Audio Jack
Both the devices will be featuring biometric voice recognition that will train the Ai to identify the user's voice and respond only to that. The biometric recognition feature allows waking the phone based on commands not requiring the usual manual unlock process. The phone will not have the usual 3.5 mm audio jack as it has been replaced by a Type-C USB jack. The biometric recognition will also listen to the music that the user listens on the device and offers prioritized music listings, as reported by Digital Trends.
Other Interesting Specs and Features
The phones will be featuring a 3D contoured glass design named as "liquid surface" by the company, which will come in four color variants, blue, black, pink and white. The HTC U Ultra will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. The devices will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset offering a 4GB of RAM and 64GBof internal storage or a 128 GB premium version that can be expanded up to 2TB. The HTC U Play will come with a 5.2-inch full-HD display that will run on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with either 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
The company has revealed various other exciting features and specs of the devices in detail at the CES 2017.
