Japanese RPGs have long been a highlight of gaming. There have been quite a lot of JRPGs that have reached the Western market and turned into big titles. Could "Tokyo Xanadu" be one of these?

"Tokyo Xanadu" is a Japanese action RPG game from Nihon Falcom. It was released exclusively for PS Vita in 2015. However, it was solely launched in Japan. However, after receiving positive remarks and hype, it was decided that it will also be released in the West.

Fans of Japanese RPG games can expect a localized version of "Tokyo Xanadu" this summer for both North America and Europe, according to Push Square. An enhanced version of the game will apparently be released as well. This version is dubbed "Tokyo Xanadu EX+."

"Tokyo Xanadu" will also be released on PS Vita when it releases in the West. However, "Tokyo Xanadu EX+" will be offered for PC and for PS4. The latter will be up for grabs this fall for North America and in the winter in Europe.

Aksys Games is the company behind translating and localizing "Tokyo Xanadu" and "Tokyo Xanadu EX+." According to Gematsu, the company announced they will release the latter on PC via Steam.

Both of these versions have already come out in Japan, with both also receiving high praises in its home country. That is why many fans are looking forward to getting their hands on the game.

"Tokyo Xanadu" is set 10 years after a devastating earthquake destroys Tokyo. Its inhabitants have learned how to get back to their normal lives before the calamity. However, a dangerous shadow world called Eclipse is rising and it is the reason why the earthquake happened.

Gamers will control various playable characters in "Tokyo Xanadu" to thwart the thriving Eclipse. "Tokyo Xanadu EX+" will have additional features, like an extra playable character.
