Square Enix has verified a patch 3.5 for "Final Fantasy XIV" that includes new story quests, anima weapon quests, beast tribe quests and dungeons. Fans have to go out and find these quests themselves. Many of these quests, that have been integrated to the game, have been posted in the official patch notes as secret.

However, just like other patches released after 3.0, the contents in the patch 3.5 can only be accessed by registering "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" to the players' service account. While most of the other fixes and improvements have been shared with all players, nearly all the quests and side quests unfortunately require Heavensward.

Some of these fixes and improvements include housing wherein players can now select the "Go to your own apartment" option even if and when they are in other players' apartments and they can find delivery moogles in apartment lobbies as well. Indeed, it includes a massive list of new content. The full list of changes can be found in the main Final Fantasy VIX site.

On the other hand, after this said patch update, Square Enix apparently has solid plans for "Final Fantasy XV" DLC and expansion content after a long time spent before actually releasing the game. As per "Final Fantasy XV" Director Hajime Tabata's revelation, he said that a brand new expansion is in progress which will help improve the existing gameplay available.

According to reports, the said development will be including new party characters and a time-limited mob hunts. There will be future changes as well to some of the less liked story elements such as "Final Fantasy XIV" Chapter 13. Fans have already been aware of a new multiplayer game mode that will play a big role in further expanding the game, which will include a lot of new Season Pass content too.
