Xiaomi Mi 6 Specs and Features: Next Xiaomi Release Could be at MWC 2017; Three Variants Expected

The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 is believed to be offered in three variants once it comes out this year. Each model will be equipped with a processor that matches its price.

Expected to be revealed at the MWC 2017, the next Xiaomi release could become available in retail stores beginning in April, Gadgets NDTV noted. It is also believed to be released in three different models: one with a MediaTek Helio X30 processor white the other two will sport a Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 version which will sport a MediaTek processor is said to be the cheapest among the three variants costing around $292. The second model with the Snapdragon 835 chipset could cost around $365 while the third variant will reportedly have a dual-edged curved display.

Gizmodo indicated that the three models of the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be called the Premier, Standard and Youth handsets. The Premier is the top-tier phone among the three and could also have a ceramic body while the two other could still maintain the usual metal body of the previous releases.

Specs and features

Also, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is anticipated to be a powerful and fast handset as it will be armed with a 4GB of RAM and128GB of internal memory. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro could have a bigger 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

As for the camera, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is believed to have a 23MP main camera on the rear while its front-facing shooter could be at 7MP. PC Advisor added that there is also a possibility that a dual-camera technology could also be introduced by Xiaomi because of its growing popularity in smartphones.
