Jennifer Aniston Reveals She Wants To Be Back On TV, 12 Years After ‘Friends’ Finale; Revival Could Be Brewing
CJ EstimadaJennifer Aniston became a household name courtesy of her role as Rachel Green in the highly rated sitcom "Friends," where she's better known for her character than any other role she's played in Hollywood. Many fans would want to see her on the small screen again and do a "Friends" revival.
After all, the show catapulted her career and made her an A-list star. The TV show, also starred David Schwimmer, 50, Matthew Perry, 47, Matt LeBlanc, 49, Courteney Cox, 52, and Lisa Kudrow, 53, ran from 1994 to 2004.
Aniston Expressed Her Openness To Go Back To The Small Screen
During an interview with Variety, the 47-year-old actress wishes to star in a new TV series. "I've thought about it a lot. That's where the work is. That's where the quality is," she says. "At this point in my career, I want to be part of significant stories, inspiring characters, and also just having a good time."
When asked whether she will continue producing, her response was instant. Saying she loves doing it, and that there's rather very exciting about being part of a project from the seed of it, and putting it together. And she just feels so proud of it on a different level.
Why She Wrote Slamming Tabloid Culture
Jennifer made headlines recently for an essay she wrote about the toxicity of tabloid culture. Saying she got fed up and was in a really raw, vulnerable place. She had just lost her mom, and did it for herself originally as a therapeutic way to deal with crap.
Aniston's husband, Justin Theroux, now stars in HBO's "The Leftovers." In their downtime, she says they've been "binge-watching 'The Crown'" on Netflix, which won two Golden Globes, cites ENews. Right now, she plays a supporting role in the drama "The Yellow Birds," as the mother of a young man played by Tye Sheridan, who enlists in the Iraq War, which premieres Saturday.
