iPad Pro 2 Leaks Suggest Arrival of Apple Pencil 2 With New Sensors, Magnetic System Features
Louise BonquinThe new iPad Pro 2 is expected to be launched very soon and since Apple is not really giving updated very often, a number of rumors about its features, looks and specifications have been circulating online. The alleged leak reports suggest that the new tablet will come with new accessory which heavily points on Apple Pencil 2.
This second generation version of the Apple Pencil was not really given that much exposure in recent months. Even so, a leaked report on possible features and specs of the new iPad Pro has been posted and making rounds on the Chinese social networking site called Weibo.
Similar report later appeared on Feng website and it claimed that the device is arriving together with second gen Apple Pencil 2. The tablets are of course expected to be launched sometime in spring of this year. While the tablets may be the main focus of the alleged launch event, Apple is expected to allocate a good amount of time in presenting the features and capabilities of the new input accessory.
The leaked info on Weibo stated that the Apple Pencil 2 on iPad Pro 2 will have new sensors that will allow users to easily interchange functions that they want to use. An eraser at the other end of the newest pencil may also be added.
On the other hand, the additional sensors will let the pencil to work as an input accessory that can sense various movements even when the user is not touching the iPad' surface. It was said that the Apple Pencil 2 will also be equipped with magnetic system that will make it easier for users to attach it to the main iPad Pro body. This will ensure that the pencil is securely intact within the tablet when not in use.
Most of the reports are still considered as rumor at this point since Apple needs to release an official statement to confirm everything. As for the release date, Forbes reported that the iPad Pro 2 with the Apple Pencil 2 is arriving by the end of March but the publication noted that Apple has yet to confirm this, however.
