DJI Mavic Pro has been the center of bashing from customers for the past month. The slow release of the famed DJI Mavic Pro has kept the customers impatient for quite some time. The DJI Mavic Pro was aggressively promoted to release on October 15; however, the company did not meet it, reported Techcrunch.
Pending Orders from Third-Party Bookings
After a promise of ironing things out, DJI Mavic Pro shortened their shipping to one week. There are still customers however claiming that their DJI Mavic Pro orders are still pending. The majority of these orders were said to have been booked under third-party vendors. This added to the growing fame of the company being unable to address their customers' issues.
Third-Party Purchase Rumored For March Release
Recently, an unverified issue surfaced claiming that DJI is withholding its production of Mavic Pro to prioritize its direct clients from DJI.com. According to a source, the company has sent a message to its dealers saying that they will be withholding their Mavic Pro production until the end of January.
The end of January 2017 is Chinese New Year, where we can expect a two to three weeks break in production. This might not be good for the DJI image. Furthermore, the message requested that dealers should advise their customers that the stock of the DJI Mavic Pro and the DJI Mavic Pro Combo is severely limited. The message continued saying that DJI hopes that by March 2017 they will have sufficient production.
DJI Discontinuing Production of Other Models
Additional information was also provided in the rumored message of DJI to its dealers. It further advised that the production of DJI Phantom 4 is terminated and they are just selling the stocks that were left. The same goes to Phantom 3 Advanced, and Professional. It added saying that once the DJI Mavic Pro production is sorted out, the consumer drones will be limited to the Mavic Pro, the Phantom 4 Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro Plus.
