I Am Setsuna Joins the Nintendo Switch Game Lineup; Launch Titles Could Continue To Grow

Good news for Nintendo Switch enthusiasts today. Square Enix just confirmed that "I Am Setsuna" will be another launch title for the console. The game is a first from Square Enix's newest studio, Tokyo RPG Factory.

Polygon reports that a short press release by Square Enix was issued today. The game developers didn't specify the complete details of the game but call out one of the game's new modes designed especially for the Switch.

The Temporal Battle Arena is a new game mode for the game title. It will allow players to battle each other's parties. There is a possibility that the game mode will be using Wi-Fi connection to interact with other parties.

"I Am Setsuna" follows the story of a young girl who is ritualistically sacrificed in order to save her village. The turn-based game aims to offer controls that are inspired by the golden age of JRPGs. The game title is already available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC platforms.

Furthermore, GameSpot reports that the games are the new addition to the seven launch titles for the Nintendo Switch. Other games such as "1-2 Switch", "The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+", "Just Dance 2017", "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", "Skylanders: Imaginators", and "Super Bomberman R."

The launch lineup for the hybrid gaming console could continue to grow between now and its official release in March. However, it is highly unlikely there will be as many launch titles as there was for the Wii U.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime recently spoke out to say that there is more to come. FIls-Aime added that Nintendo plans to deliver more games from time to time to keep owners happy.

Nintendo Switch is slated to be released on March 3, 2017 with the said games available at launch.
