Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 vs MacBook Pro 2016: Lenovo Laptop Release is Thin and Has Minimal Bezels; Which is Better
Nens MitchellLenovo has released a sleek and powerful laptop which is a worthy competition to offerings of other big brands such as Apple and the like. It is also a very promising device because of the great features it offers to laptop users.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon specs and features
1Red Drop reported that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is light and "nice-looking" laptop offering from the Chinese tech company. It sports a Windows Precision touchpad, a 14-inch screen and a touch sensor for improved security.
Compared to Apple's MacBook Pro 2016, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon promises users with a longer battery life at 15.5 hours. The newest MacBook Pro release from Apple has reportedly struggled to meet this battery life.
Thin design
In terms of design, Digital Trends said the Lenovo laptop has a very thin bezel design to accompany its big screen. The brand is lauded to be the first one to offer this to users.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is also thin and lightweight but comes with the needed ports of laptop fans like the USB Type C, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.
An Intel U series processor is offered with the Lenovo ThinkPad making it a fast and efficient device. This also makes it perfect for users who love to browse the Internet or use different apps on their laptops.
No touchscreen option
However, users clamored for a touchschreen option with the device but were disappointed to find out that the feature was not included. Similar brands such as Acer and Asus have long offered laptop models with touchscreen capability.
With all these specs and features, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a laptop which can be a good competition versus the MacBook Pro 2016. PC Mag noted the latest offering from Apple came with the powerful and greatly reviewed Touch Bar and also USB-C ports.
