'Resident Evil 7' Guides: Psychostimulant Trick and Survival Tips [Spoilers]

Gamers and critics are both divided over the sudden change in Capcom's "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," the first game in the "Resident Evil" franchise that is played from a first-person perspective. However, reviews for RE7 are mostly positive and this guide will help players use psychostimulants efficiently in the game.

According to PowerUp!, items strewn through various locations in "Resident Evil 7" will help players survive the game. Once players have cleared a section of the Baker Estate, they can then freely explore every nook and cranny to look for items. Before you start searching for weapons and ammo, make sure to save.

Take a Psychostimulant, which will highlight all the locations of items that Ethan can use. After you do this, reload your saved game then start collecting the items you located. By doing this, you'll never run out of Psychostimulants. Repeat the trick once you clear another area.

In "Resident Evil 7," usable items such as herbs and ammo show up as hollow waypoints and Antique Coins and Mr. Everywhere are solid waypoints. Playing in Normal Mode nets you 18 Antique Coins, and there are 33 coins in Madhouse Mode. There are 20 Mr. Everywheres in RE7.

Press Start also offers some tips to "Resident Evil 7" players. The Bakers will keep chasing after players until they are finally defeated in boss battles, so fighting them off early in the game is not recommended. Try to wait until you have cleared areas before exploring them to collect items.

Do try to defeat the Moulded enemies in "Resident Evil 7" since they won't revive. Aim for the head when fighting the Moulded. Play the game in either Easy or Normal mode first since Madhouse Mode will change certain item locations.

Check every nook and cranny for items and supplies, and use keys you find to unlock doors and maybe uncover more items.  Don't feel bad about spending Antique Coins in Easy and Normal mode since these modes only have three cages for you to unlock. The cages contain a weapon and two abilities for Ethan in "Resident Evil 7."
